At Design Elementary, we believe every child is born creative, it just takes the right playground to help that creativity grow.
The Creative Playground Conference was born from that same belief, to create a joyful, hands-on space where children can imagine, build, and design their world. It is more than an event, it is a movement to make creativity accessible, celebrated, and alive in every child.
The Heart Behind the Playground
Design Elementary was founded by Cassandra Hamer, a creative educator who discovered her love for design at just nine years old.
As a child, Cassandra would spend hours sketching, creating, and imagining, but she did not have the tools or resources to truly explore her creativity. Years later, that same passion became her purpose, to ensure no child ever feels limited by lack of access or opportunity.
The Creative Playground Conference is a reflection of that dream, a space where children can see that creativity is not just a hobby but a superpower that can shape their future.
